OXIDATIVE STRESS

When the quantity of free radicals produced by our organism ia greater than the phisiological quantity and our internal system (Anti-oxidand System) is unable to neutralise such an accumulation of free radicals, OXIDATIVE STRESS is produced.


The main consequences of oxidative stress are:

 - damage typical of aging,
 - arterosclerosis,
 - damage to mucous membranes and other cell structures
-  alterations to the genetic DNA chain
